Scars and stretch marks are damages, which more or less disfigure the image of the skin. The scar is forming a skin lesion at the place of mechanical trauma or burns. Formed from fibrous connective tissue in the healing process to replace the damaged tissue. Stretch marks are spindle-shaped band appearing most commonly on the buttocks, abdomen, thighs and breasts. They formed at the level of the dermis and epidermis as a result of damage to the cells responsible for collagen and elastin production. There are two basic mechanisms for the formation of stretch marks: hormonal disorders and mechanical damage as a result of significant weight gain.
