Lash extension treatments have been an absolute hit among women in recent years. However, not everyone knows that lashes (especially the 'extra' ones) should be taken care of. And how? Read on.

Extended eyelashes clearly add charm to the entire face, and often even replace full makeup. However, not everyone knows that such lashes require special attention. Proper care will prolong the effect of the treatment and improve the condition of our natural lashes. How should they be taken care of? Specialists from the Beauty Embassy in Warsaw recommend several activities.

Key first 2 days.

The first two days after the treatment are the time for the glue to bond. Usually, this happens much earlier than 48 hours, but it is customary to not disturb this process during these first 2 days. It's worth sticking to this, as various atmospheric and personal factors can prolong this time, and in that case, these first two days will not be too long.

During this time, avoid picking and combing the lashes. It is also worth avoiding getting them wet and, of course, applying mascara. All these factors can disrupt the glue bonding process.

What to avoid later?

Above all, avoid all oils. They can dissolve the glue and shorten the lifespan of the lashes. You can apply mascara to the lashes, but without oily substances in the mascara. The same applies to makeup removers and daily cosmetics used.

What to pay attention to?

After the glue has bonded, the situation regarding washing the lashes looks completely different than during the first two days. You can, and even should, wash the lashes. It is best to do it gently and with special cleansing fluids. You can also wash them with water alone, but specialized fluids will be more effective. Washing the lashes allows you to remove the sebum that accumulates daily, which, because it is oily, could negatively affect the glue.

Another important activity is combing the lashes with a special brush. This is important for several reasons. Firstly, combed lashes look more aesthetic. Secondly, uncombed lashes introduce additional tensions that can lead to lash breakage or weaken the glue.
