Why do we need a dietitian?
What do you associate with a visit to a dietitian? I bet your answer is "weight loss." Let me explain in a few sentences how important a dietitian is for each of us.
The main task of a dietitian is to indicate the best way of nutrition for our bodies in the current state they are in. By doing so, what we eat supports us in treating ailments, losing weight, and improving the quality of our lives. Considering all of the above, a good dietitian's actions should be based on accurate diagnosis combined with extensive knowledge of nutrition. Thanks to this, the specialist we seek help from can approach each case individually and holistically.
What ailments are mentioned in the previous paragraph? Primarily all diet-related diseases. These include cardiovascular diseases (e.g., atherosclerosis, heart attack, aneurysms, stroke), but also osteoporosis, diabetes, and even cancer. And these are just the tip of the iceberg of problems correlated with poor nutrition. A dietitian will show you how to prevent these diseases or how to improve your health when they have already occurred.
Did you know that obesity is also a disease? It's needless to explain how closely it is related to our way of eating. The World Health Organization notes in its reports that obesity is the cause of one million deaths annually in Europe alone. Properly managed weight loss diet will not only improve your figure but also strengthen your body and change your overall health for the better.
A dietitian also teaches how to change eating habits and adapt them to our capabilities.
The care of a dietitian works in an immensely multidimensional way on our bodies and lives. Better health means an increase in the comfort of life in many of its aspects. I would even venture to say in every aspect, because when we feel good, new development opportunities open up in every direction.
