Electroporation is a physical phenomenon occurring in cell membranes and in the stratum corneum, thanks to which new ways of introducing active ingredients are opened under the influence of specific electrical impulses.
In the cell membrane, under the influence of short-term, but high-voltage electric fields, reversible changes occur - so-called pores develop and protein channels open. It is a safe process that, without causing damage to cell membranes, allows the introduction of active nutrients into skin cells. At the same time, skin cells are stimulated to absorb dissolved active substances. Thanks to this process, cosmetic and medical preparations work long after the end of the procedure (up to 48 hours).
