Microneedling therapy with Dermapen 4.0, due to its intensive regenerative action, is an effective treatment for all types of scars, including acne scars, post-inflammatory scars, postoperative scars, burn scars, and stretch marks.

The Dermapen device is a system of pulsating needles that create vertical microchannels in the skin, ranging in depth from 0.5 mm to 2.5 mm (adjustable), triggering natural regenerative processes that lead to the remodeling of scar tissue. The treatment stimulates the repair of damaged skin. These processes cause the body to generate new skin from within, replacing the scar tissue, resulting in significant flattening and softening of raised scars.

How does Dermapen work on scars?

The essence of Dermapen's action is to harness the body's natural self-healing and tissue regeneration abilities. The procedure involves making thousands of special micropunctures. These micro-injuries trigger skin regeneration. This leads to the stimulation of fibroblasts (through the action of platelet-derived growth factors) and the production of new collagen and elastin fibers, improving the density and elasticity of the skin.

Simultaneously, during the treatment, moisturizing, nourishing, and firming products are applied. This is because the micropunctures in the skin create hundreds of microchannels, breaking the epidermal barrier and allowing active ingredients to penetrate deeper skin layers. During microneedling, this absorption increases by up to 1000 times. Delivering active substances to the epidermis and dermis provides additional stimulation of fibroblasts.

The number of recommended Dermapen treatments depends on the skin condition and the scar. In most cases, more than one treatment is necessary to achieve noticeable skin improvement. For scars, it is recommended to undergo 6-8 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks apart.
