Lifting and intense skin stimulation
Darvin firming threads have been created for regenerative procedures in case of skin sagging: cheeks, chin, neck or décolletage. By applying the appropriate amount of threads, the result is skin strengthening, elimination of sagging, and a subtle lifting effect. This is because these threads are made of polycaprolactone, which perfectly stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen.
HOW DO FIRMING THREADS WORK?
The advantage of Darwin threads over PDO threads is the unique three-dimensional structure of the threads, consisting of a bundle of fibers with varying degrees of polymerization. These fibers have different durability, meaning they take different amounts of time to break down in the skin. Low-crosslinked filaments break down quickly in the skin, immediately leading to the production of hyaluronic acid and thus increasing skin hydration. Molecules with longer breakdown times mechanically stimulate the tissue to produce new collagen fibers, making the skin stronger and more firm. Thanks to this complex structure, firming threads provide long-lasting skin stimulation that can last up to 4-5 months.
WHAT ARE THE INDICATIONS FOR THREAD LIFT PROCEDURE?
- vertical and horizontal wrinkles on the forehead (to be filled and improve skin structure)
- drooping outer edges of the eyebrows with a feeling of eyelid sagging
- cheek sagging
- deep nasolabial fold
- cheek-jowl groove
- submental fold
- marionette fold
- drooping cheeks and area under the jaw (so-called "hamster cheeks")
- excess skin around the chin
- folds and wrinkles on the neck and décolletage
- firming and shaping the breasts
- tissue sagging and stretch marks on the buttocks, abdomen, arms, and legs
The result of the revitalizing threads by Darvin is deep skin regeneration and reduction of sagging (including cheeks, chin, neck, and décolletage). The treatment is particularly recommended for people over 30 years old.
WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF THREAD LIFT TREATMENT?
- clear rejuvenation and strengthening of the skin
- stimulation of natural renewal processes
- reduction of wrinkles and scars
- thickening and increasing the thickness of the skin
- reduction of sagging (e.g. cheeks, chin, and neck)
The threads are completely safe, imperceptible under the skin, and completely absorbable. They have a biostimulating effect and contribute to firming and thickening of the skin. An additional benefit is deep skin regeneration and slowing down the aging processes. The result achieved is a rejuvenated, firm, and properly tightened skin.
CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR THE THREAD LIFT PROCEDURE
Although firming threads have a delicate character, do not disrupt deep structures, and do not contain hooks, they are still an invasive procedure - disrupting tissue continuity. Therefore, their use requires proper qualifications and exclusion of medical contraindications.
Absolute contraindications:
- pregnancy and breastfeeding - we do not perform procedures that disrupt tissue continuity or affect skin metabolism during this particular time,
- active cancer diseases (or within 5 years of completing treatment),
- advanced autoimmune diseases (e.g., lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma),
- predisposition to keloids formation,
- blood clotting disorders and vascular disorders,
- taking anticoagulant medications that cannot be stopped,
- uncontrolled diabetes,
- skin infections in the area of the planned procedure (e.g., active herpes, purulent acne lesions).
Relative (temporary) contraindications:
- colds, viral infections, systemic inflammatory conditions,
- treatment with antibiotics or steroids - procedure after min. 10-14 days after completing treatment,
- fresh sunburn or sunburn,
- active herpes outbreak - procedure possible 2 weeks after symptoms disappear,
- menstruation (especially for facial treatments) - may increase sensitivity and risk of bruising,
- use of supplements that decrease blood clotting (e.g., omega-3, vitamin E, aspirin) - after individual assessment.
POST-OPERATIVE RECOMMENDATIONS
Firming threads do not work mechanically, but their presence in the skin activates the production of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. This effect develops gradually over several weeks. Therefore, post-procedure care should promote regeneration and reduce the risk of thread displacement or irritation.
How to support bio-stimulation and avoid irritations?
- do not touch, press, or massage the injection sites for 5-7 days,
- avoid using active cosmetics and peels on the treated area for 7 days,
- avoid makeup (in the case of facial treatment) for 24-48 hours,
- avoid intense physical exertion, sauna, and tanning beds for at least 7 days,
- use a regenerating or soothing cream recommended by a specialist,
- maintain skin hygiene, wash gently without rubbing,
- protect the skin from UV radiation - use SPF 50+ for treatments on the face, neck, or décolletage.
What to avoid:
- cosmetic procedures and devices (laser, RF, mesotherapy, chemical peels) in the thread implantation area for a minimum of 2-3 weeks,
- strongly irritating, warming, or microcirculation-stimulating cosmetics (e.g., firming, warming, cooling creams),
- facial or body massage in the treatment area for a minimum of 3 weeks,
- taking medications and supplements affecting blood clotting without prior consultation with a doctor.
Firming threads are a safe and effective method of skin bio-stimulation that, when used regularly, improves its firmness, structure, and elasticity. By following proper care and post-procedure recommendations, you can fully utilize their regenerative potential - without the risk of complications and with a visible skin densification effect.
