What is Karisma biostimulator, and what is Profhilo?
Karisma is an innovative tissue biostimulator, often referred to as a "soft filler." Its main task is to stimulate the natural production of collagen, effectively rejuvenating the skin. This product provides a number of benefits:
- significantly improves skin tension,
- increases skin firmness,
- revitalizes the skin,
- subtly, naturally fills wrinkles,
- effectively rejuvenates the skin.
On the other hand, Profhilo is a unique product for bioremodeling, known as the "molecule of youth." Its action consists of deeply moisturizing the skin. Profhilo brings the following effects:
- effectively combats skin flaccidity,
- restores a youthful appearance to the face,
- activates natural repair processes in tissues,
- activates natural regenerative processes in tissues,
- deeply moisturizes the skin.
Although both biostimulators are highly popular and rejuvenate the skin, their mechanisms of action significantly differ.
The key difference between the treatments lies in their ingredients and mode of action. Karisma stands out with its unique Rh collagen, obtained from silk threads using NEOSILK technology. It also contains hyaluronic acid and CMC (carboxymethylcellulose). The preparation works by actively stimulating the skin to produce new, natural collagen. Additionally, CMC acts as a potent antioxidant protecting the skin's natural hyaluronic acid.
Profhilo, on the other hand, is based solely on pure, stabilized hyaluronic acid, which comes in two forms with different molecular weights. The lighter fraction intensely moisturizes the skin and stimulates it to produce collagen and elastin. The heavier fraction creates internal "scaffolding" and provides a lifting effect. Unlike Karisma, Profhilo does not utilize collagen.
Karisma naturally rejuvenates the skin, significantly improving its condition. This treatment makes the skin firmer, more elastic, denser, deeply moisturized, and regenerated. Fine lines are smoothed out, while scars and stretch marks are reduced. The complexion gains a fresh, radiant look.
Profhilo works differently, providing a stronger lifting effect. The treatment:
-
neutralizes skin sagging, particularly visible in the lower parts of the face,
-
improves facial contour and oval shape,
-
visually slims down features,
-
intensely moisturizes the skin,
-
restores lost elasticity to the skin.
Both treatments, although they differ in mechanism of action, support skin health, providing a radiant look.
Karisma is the perfect solution for individuals over the age of 25 who are noticing the first signs of aging. It effectively counteracts skin sagging, smooths fine lines, significantly improves overall skin condition, and helps reduce acne scars.
Profhilo is primarily designed for mature skin, typically over the age of 35 or 40. It works well on visible signs of aging, helps restore the proper oval shape of the face, eliminates "hamster cheeks," and provides intense lifting, especially noticeable in the lower parts of the face.
Importantly, both treatments can also be successfully applied on the neck, décolletage, and hands.
Karisma and Profhilo treatments are minimally invasive procedures that require precise injections. To ensure maximum comfort for patients, occlusive anesthesia is used.
The Karisma product is applied using a retrograde linear technique, with a needle or cannula. The typical treatment cycle consists of two sessions, performed a month apart. To maintain long-lasting results, regular maintenance sessions are recommended.
On the other hand, Profhilo is administered using the innovative BAP (Beauty Aesthetic Points) technique. This method involves making just five precise injections on each side of the face, significantly reducing discomfort and the risk of bruising. A series of two sessions is recommended, with a 30-day break in between.
The recovery period after both procedures is usually very short. However, it is worth noting that after the Profhilo treatment, small, palpable lumps may occasionally appear – these are deposits of the product that are self-absorbed, typically within just a few hours.
Karisma and Profhilo are extremely safe procedures, and their ingredients are biocompatible and easily absorbed by the body. Importantly, the Karisma preparation does not cause allergic reactions.
However, there are certain contraindications to the procedures, including:
-
pregnancy,
-
breastfeeding period,
-
active cancer,
-
autoimmune diseases,
-
skin infections,
-
confirmed allergy to any of the ingredients.
Any potential side effects of the preparations are usually mild and short-lived. They may include slight redness, mild swelling, tenderness at the injection site, or minor bruises that quickly resolve.
In case of unsatisfactory aesthetic results after a procedure using hyaluronic acid (e.g., Profhilo, Karisma), hyaluronidase can be used – an enzyme that effectively dissolves the preparation.
The choice of the right skin preparation depends on the specific skin issue and the expected results. If you aim to improve the condition and density of the skin, Karisma would be an excellent choice. It effectively reduces fine lines, scars, or stretch marks, both preventively and correctively. It provides natural skin rejuvenation and subtle wrinkle filling. Its action includes:
- Skin condition improvement,
- Increase in skin density,
- Reduction of fine lines,
- Reduction of scars,
- Reduction of stretch marks,
- Natural skin rejuvenation,
- Subtle wrinkle filling.
- On the other hand,
Profhilo is ideal for advanced skin sagging, especially when the oval of the face starts to droop. This preparation provides:
- Strong facial lifting,
- Noticeable improvement in skin tension,
- Creation of internal skin scaffolding,
- Reduction of skin sagging,
- Support for sagging face oval.
Often, the best results are achieved with combined therapy. Specialists recommend using both preparations on different skin areas, as well as combining them with other advanced technologies such as:
- Laser,
- HIFU,
- Radiofrequency,
- Botox,
- Chemical peels.
