HYALURONIC ACID
Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide naturally occurring in human body, mainly in the skin, where it combines collagen and elastin fibers with each other. One of its main features is ability to bind the water and thereby maintaining the proper hydration of tissue (one gram of hyaluronic acid can bind about 6l water). It also has the ability of inflammation modulation and free radicals removal. As we age, our body produces less hyaluronic acid, which can lead to wrinkles.
Depending on the indications, we are selecting different densities of the preparation from very gentle ones, containing small particles of the acid to the volumetric formulations. The effects are immediate and lasts around 10-12 months.

WHEN TO USE HYALURONIC ACID ON THE FACE?
- Frown lines between the eyebrows add a stern and aged look to the face. For deep frown lines, we recommend hyaluronic acid to fill the crease. Restylane® Lidocaine is a filler based on stabilized non-animal hyaluronic acid, obtained by the fermentation method of Streptococcus equi bacteria. The product is manufactured by the Swedish biotechnological company Q-MED AB and contains 0.3% lidocaine, which ensures patient comfort during the procedure.
