Botulinum neurotoxin

Botulinum neurotoxin was introduced in the late 1980s by ophthalmologists to treat disorders of muscle contraction. It was approved by the Cosmetics FDA in 2002, helping millions of patients to get rid of face wrinkles. Nowadays, botox is being used for treatments associated with eye’s muscle spasms, problems with eye coordination, excessive sweating, bruxism treatment and as anti-aging treatment for crow's feet, wrinkles between the eyebrows and for forehead wrinkles removal.

Smoothing mimic wrinkles

Botulinum neurotoxin is the most popular method of reducing facial wrinkles and one of the best proven (over 20 years of experience) and safe methods used in aesthetic medicine.

Botulinum toxin removes facial wrinkles, which include: crow’s feet, between the eyebrows and transverse forehead wrinkles, diagonal crease at the base of the nose, tiny wrinkles on the chin and so-called "smoker's lines" on the upper lip.

Depending on the indications it also gives the effect of lifting lip corners, eyebrows and forehead and raising the drooping eyelids.

Mesobotox

Mesobotox, also known as the botox-lift procedure, is a procedure aimed at both revitalizing and reconstructing the skin, as well as delicately removing its defects. Mesobotox is a combination of two well-known treatments - mesotherapy (skin revitalization) and wrinkle removal (botulinum toxin).

Botox treatment for hyperhidrosis

Excessive sweating is a common problem of active people. A wet hand or drops of sweat on your forehead make your personal and professional life difficult. Botulinum toxin is a method that gives a quick effect and long-lasting effectiveness, and causes a significant improvement in the quality in life of patients suffering from hyperhidrosis. Using a very thin needle, the doctor injects a small volume of botulinum toxin solution into 10-15 places, approximately 1 cm apart, evenly covering the entire treated area. When injected into the skin, the preparation blocks the action of the nerves that supply the external secretion glands. This prevents them from sweat. Blockade of nerve endings under the influence of botulinum toxin lasts for 6-12 weeks, after which new nerve endings are formed, replacing those previously blocked. This means that the treatment effect lasts for several months but eventually wears off.

Bruxism treatment with botox

Bruxism is an ailment in the field of parasomia diseases associated with sleep disorders. It manifests itself most often at night, although it can also occur during the day. Patients are usually people who are hypersensitive to stress and who have been diagnosed with increased nervous tension. Bruxism is also associated with malocclusion and increased tension or disorders in the masticatory muscles.
