Skin rejuvenation with lasers

Photo rejuvenation is a unique and very effective method that allows to rejuvenate the skin on the face, neck and backs of the hands with laser. It is more delicate than laser dermabrasion and deep chemical peels method of regenerating our skin using light. It effectively removes signs of photo aging (vascular lesions and pigmentation). It also stimulates deeper layers of the skin to produce collagen, which production decreases with age. The result of photorejuvenation treatments is lighter, smoother, firmer and more attractive skin.

HOW DOES THE PHOTOREJUVENATION TREATMENT WORK?

The work of the device is based on the principle of selective photothermolysis, that involves the successful targeting of chromophores hemoglobin and melanin in the skin, which selectively absorb the laser energy as heat and give the desired reaction. Exposed during procedure skin changes are removed as a result of the natural process of skin renewal. Discoloration gently peels off and disappears from the skin within 2-3 days, vascular lesions fade and disappear within 10-14 days.

INDICATIONS FOR PHOTOREJUVENATION - LASER IPL SKIN REJUVENATION

This treatment is recommended especially for people with initial signs of photoaging of the skin, whose structure has been weakened due to UV radiation. IPL effectively improves skin tone, reduces imperfections, and stimulates skin regeneration. By stimulating collagen and elastin synthesis, it also improves skin firmness and elasticity, restoring a younger look. Indications include:

  • Fine lines - the treatment smooths superficial expression lines, improves skin texture, and evens out its surface.
  • Loss of skin firmness - IPL stimulates fibroblasts to produce collagen, contributing to improved skin elasticity and firmness.
  • Enlarged pores - IPL light helps reduce pore visibility and regulates sebum secretion, improving skin smoothness.
  • Telangiectasia - reduction of dilated blood vessels that form visible spider veins on the face and body.
  • Rosacea - IPL acts on active vascular changes, reducing inflammation, redness, and strengthening blood vessel walls.
  • Vascular changes and erythema - the treatment helps even out skin tone, reducing redness and symptoms of chronic erythema.
  • Sunspots and age spots - IPL effectively reduces pigmentation spots, evens out skin tone, and improves its radiance.
  • Dull, tired complexion - improves skin microcirculation and oxygenation, restoring a healthy, radiant look.
  • Acne scars and skin irregularities - helps reduce red and brown post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, improving skin texture.

IPL photorejuvenation is a versatile treatment that enhances the appearance of the skin, recommended for those wanting to reduce signs of aging and even out skin tone and texture without invasive procedures.

EFFECTS OF PHOTOREJUVENATION TREATMENT

This treatment is a universal cure, because in one shot it removes fine wrinkles, skin damage due to solar radiation, freckles, enlarged pores and vascular lesions, such as spider veins, vascular reticular, rosacea, facial erythema, telangiectasias, hemangiomas, liver stains, dyschromia and melasma. It improves skin texture, smoothes its firmness and flexibility, tightens pores and brightens the complexion.

After the first treatment you can very clearly see the results in improvement of the quality of the skin, and each subsequent treatment enhances the effect. The number of treatments depends on the type and severity of the problem. It is typically carried out for three treatments every 4 weeks.

CONTRAINDICATIONS FOR IPL LASER PHOTO-REJUVENATION

  • Fresh tan and sun exposure - skin exposed to intense UV radiation in the last 4 weeks is more susceptible to burns and discoloration, so it is recommended to avoid sun exposure before and after the treatment.
  • Active skin infections - herpes, acne in the inflammatory phase, bacterial and fungal infections are contraindications for the treatment, as they can lead to increased inflammation and complications.
  • Chemical peels and other exfoliating treatments - after superficial peels, it is recommended to wait 2-4 weeks, while after deep exfoliating treatments even 3-6 months to avoid excessive skin irritation.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding - due to lack of safety studies during this period, photorejuvenation is recommended to be performed after the end of lactation.
  • Taking photosensitizing drugs - antibiotics (tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones), retinoids (topical require a 4-week break, oral at least 6 months), antidepressants, and some diuretics can cause strong skin reactions after exposure to IPL light.
  • Use of photosensitizing herbs - St. John's Wort, horsetail, arnica, and other plants that increase skin sensitivity to light should be discontinued at least 2-4 weeks before the treatment.
  • Tendency to hyperpigmentation and hypertrophic scars - individuals prone to hyperpigmentation and raised scars should be cautious, as the treatment may increase the risk of skin changes.
  • Diabetes and metabolic disorders - impaired healing and increased susceptibility to infections can lead to post-treatment complications, requiring prior consultation with a doctor.
  • Coagulation disorders and use of anticoagulant drugs - increase the risk of minor bleeding and may prolong the skin regeneration process, therefore a medical consultation is necessary before the treatment.
  • Autoimmune diseases - lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, psoriasis, and other immune disorders may cause abnormal skin reactions to IPL treatment, which requires assessment by a doctor.
  • Epilepsy and light sensitivity - strong light impulses can trigger seizures or other neurological reactions, therefore individuals with such conditions should not undergo the treatment.
  • Skin cancer and oncological therapy - photorejuvenation is not recommended for individuals with skin cancer or undergoing oncological treatment. For patients after completed treatment, a consultation with a doctor is necessary before the procedure.

Before deciding on photorejuvenation, we invite you to a free consultation with a specialist to assess the condition of the skin, rule out any contraindications, and tailor the treatment plan to individual needs.

POST-COSMETIC PROCEDURE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FACIAL REJUVENATION

  • Avoiding sun exposure – for at least 4 weeks after the procedure, it is important to avoid direct sunlight and use sunscreen with SPF 50+ to prevent discoloration and skin irritation.
  • Using moisturizing and soothing creams – the skin may be slightly red and dry after the procedure, so it is recommended to use moisturizing products containing hyaluronic acid, panthenol, allantoin, or ceramides.
  • Avoiding high temperatures – for the first 5-7 days after the procedure, it is advised to avoid hot baths, sauna, tanning beds, and intense physical activity to prevent overheating and skin irritation.
  • Gentle skincare – use mild alcohol-free cleansers and avoid vigorous rubbing of the skin with a towel.
  • Avoiding the removal of flaking skin – skin regeneration may involve gentle peeling, which should not be accelerated with mechanical or chemical peels to avoid irritation and discoloration.
  • Limiting makeup use – it is best to avoid colored cosmetics for the first 24-48 hours after the procedure to allow the skin to regenerate freely and prevent pore blockage.
  • Avoiding irritating substances – for at least 1-2 weeks after the procedure, avoid using retinoids, AHA/BHA/PHA acids, alcohol in cosmetics, or other strong exfoliating substances.
  • Proper hydration – consuming an adequate amount of water (min. 2 liters per day) supports skin regeneration and improves its elasticity.
  • Avoiding intense physical activity – for the first 2-3 days, limit intense workouts that can lead to excessive sweating and skin irritation.

The initial effects of photorejuvenation are visible within a few days, but full results gradually appear over several weeks. Adhering to post-treatment recommendations allows for optimal results and minimizes the risk of complications.

Photo rejuvenation with Icon Cynosure MaxG

Advanced skin rejuvenation with laser - reduction of discoloration and vascular changes, improvement of density, firmness, and complexion

Photo rejuvenation using the American Icon™ MaxG laser (Cynosure®) is a modern and highly effective method of combating signs of skin photoaging. The treatment combines selective photothermolysis and controlled stimulation of the dermis without damaging the epidermis, making it safe even with a short recovery time.

The treatment allows for a spectacular improvement in skin quality - brightening discolorations, reducing redness, improving firmness and elasticity, as well as evening out skin tone. Thanks to the use of medical-grade laser, the effects are fast, predictable, and long-lasting.

How does the treatment work? - selective photothermolysis and skin remodeling

Hand rejuvenation

Youthfulness, Smoothness, and Even Skin Tone of Hands

Hands are one of the most exposed parts of the body, yet often overlooked in daily skincare routines. Over time, they become thinner, develop discoloration, lose firmness, show redness, or visible blood vessels. Hand photorejuvenation is an effective, non-invasive method based on intense pulsed light (IPL) that allows one to regain smooth, even, and younger-looking skin.

What Does the Procedure Involve?

Photorejuvenation utilizes IPL light energy, which penetrates the skin and targets specific chromophores - mainly melanin (discoloration) and hemoglobin (vascular changes). IPL light also stimulates collagen and elastin production, improving the hand skin's structure. The procedure is safe, painless, and requires no downtime.

When to Consider?

Hand photorejuvenation is recommended for:

  • Sunspots and age spots,
  • Freckles and pigmented spots,
  • Redness and dilated blood vessels,
  • Dull, uneven skin tone,
  • Fine lines and signs of skin laxity.

Effects of the Procedure:

  • Lightening of discoloration and improvement of hand skin tone,
  • Reduction of redness, blood vessels, and minor pigmentation changes,
  • Collagen stimulation - improved firmness and skin density,
  • Smoothing and brightening - hands regain a healthy, youthful look,
  • Enhancement of overall skin condition and its resilience to external factors.

Recommended Treatment Series:

  • 3-5 sessions every 3-4 weeks,
  • Results visible after the first session, but full improvement occurs after completing the series.
