Thanks to the use of PDO threads, we can reduce the strength of facial mimic muscles and achieve aesthetic effects similar to the administration of botulinum toxin , which are muscle relaxation and smoothing facial features. The aesthetic effect is more natural than after administration of botulinum toxin, because we do not immobilize mimic muscles, but only affect their weakening.
Based on clinical observations, it was found that PDO lifting threads stimulate neocollagenesis in tissues - the production of new collagen, responsible for skin tension and firmness. In addition, fibroblast stimulation stimulates the synthesis of elastin responsible for skin elasticity and bounciness. These processes begin about 10-14 days after the treatment and last throughout the entire time threads stay in the organism (up to 7-8 months).
In vivo studies also found that PDO causes the synthesis of natural (endogenous) hyaluronic acid. Thanks to this mechanism of action, the skin in which we introduce PDO threads, becomes firmer, more elastic and better moisturized.
